3 Steps to Being the Best BCM Banquet Table Hosts EVER!
Step 1 – Commit to Fill a Table of 10.
As a host, we ask that you commit to fill a table of 10 (including you and your spouse) with friends in our community you believe would enjoy a fun and inspirational night out as well as those who may potentially support the efforts of The TN Tech Baptist Collegiate Ministry.
Step 2 – Enjoy Coffee on Us!
This Wednesday October 22nd between the hours of 8am and 6pm, come to Poets on the Square ready to address your invitations with your list of names and addresses and get a drink of your choice on us! A few of our staff and student leaders will be present in the back room throughout the day to receive you and to buy you coffee. In addition to yourself, please pick fourteen people or seven couples to invite to ensure you fill your table. We plan to have additional tables if more than 10 individuals RSVP for your table.
Step 3 – Keep us Informed of the RSVP’s.
You can keep us informed of your RSVP’s by emailing us a list of those who can and cannot attend at tntechbcm@gmail.com . Here’s a contact guide that will help us make sure we have the right amount of food and seats for everyone: Contact your guests one week after mailing (October 29) to inquire if they received your invitation and if they can attend. All RSVP’s should be known by November 13th. Contact guests the week of (November 16) to remind them that the banquet is Thursday, November 20th. Contact your guests the night before and let them know that you are looking forward to seeing them there!
Feel free to call or text us! John Aaron (931.644.0278) or Emily (931.644.1063) Or email us at tntechbcm@gmail.com
FAQ’s
Do I need to pay anything to be a host?
Nope, we value you and just ask that you help us strengthen our ministry by helping our community become more aware of what God is doing through the BCM.
Do our guests need to buy a ticket or pay anything for the meal?
Nope, the meal is on us! We want our guests to have a great night and we will focus on celebrating what God is doing through the BCM. Of course, we anticipate that many of our guests will be inspired to give back to our ministry and they will have an opportunity to do so.
Is childcare provided?
Yes! Childcare will be provided for only two dollars per child and will include pizza. Drop off will be at FBC Cookeville beginning at 5:30PM and must be picked up within thirty minutes of the end of the banquet. Childcare workers may be a combination of background checked BCM student leaders and FBC members.
When is the banquet?
Thursday Night November 20th from 6pm-8pm
Where is the banquet being held?
At the West Side Warehouse at 40 Depot Street in Cookeville. The BCM weekly worship meeting is currently being held here because we have outgrown our building! It is located across from Cream City and the train depot and is near to Crawdaddys, Ralphs, Cybertag, and Crossfit Mayhalm. It used to be the Old Wilson Warehouse and the Amps and Ramps.
How should I dress?
We want you to feel like this is a date night out, so we recommend dressy casual dress.
Why does the BCM need to Fundraise?
I’m glad you asked! The BCM is a ministry of the Tennessee Baptist Convention and our local Stone Association of churches. The BCM Directors salary is funded by churches giving to the Cooperative Program and some utility & budget support comes from the TBC and the Stone Association. In our growing ministry, there is still significant unmet needs for ministry budget, missions, support staff, outreach events, renting worship space, and future renovation of our aging ministry building. Thank you for partnering with us to strengthen the BCM’s ministry to reach, connect, disciple, and send college students to change the world!
